I’m Gloria or simply, for friends, MoreThanGlory. I likes to call myself a “creative thinker” with a passion for fashion and graphic design. I have big eyes and a “multipotential” personality, citing the definition of Emilie Wapnick. I have not a single true vocation, but among these there is certainly the drawing and my cat, Pythagoras. Among the many passions of mine there are trips, the sea of Greece, the pottery, (that raku makes me crazy) and the vintage markets. Some vices? I eat dark chocolate and I’m a serial collector of fashion magazines.
After taken a degree in Design for the Fashion System, at Politecnico in Milan, I was lucky enough to fly overseas for an american experience at the Fashion Institute of Technology, in New York.
An experience that will be decisive for me, both personally and professionally. Although I admits, in fact, that fleas markets and secret bar were to strong temptation for me, what let me a very great mark was the meeting with professor and illustrator Bill Donovan. The real time drawing, the soft lines of the outlines, almost defining a doodle sketches, and solid colors, are what characterize my illustrations. The final result? I have to thank to my “magic wand”, the apple pencil.

What do I like to draw? All that visually intrigue me to the point to extract every lines, shapes and details from the figure itself, both if it is a coat, a landscape or a face. No matter what the starting point is, each illustration is a unique journey and the arrival is always a surprise. Among the multipotential aspects of my “MoreThanGlory side” there is also the jewel and the experimentation of the materials. I was finalist at the Vicenza Oro with the project “Modern Mythology” for the contest of sentimental jewelry, and then, I waas selected by Politecnico in Milan, in the Politalent category, for the thesis “New skin: new materials and new technologies for jewelry”.

After a first experience in the development of graphics for clothing, I embarked on the road of digital and communication working for three years in Max Mara and today in Pinko. I always ready to undertake new and exciting projects for the future. My goal is to be able to create with my projects, small stories that provide in turn another life and new travels in people’s eye.

I often cite to explain this concept, a phrase taken from the notes of Arthur Capel, and that is the very essence of my idea of project: “The thoughts that make us think. It is pleasant to forget oneself by following the imagination of others, but better still is to reflect things, exercising one’s own judgment.
To date, I don’t know what my future tale will be, but I’m sure I love what I do, and I will make the best to get great results. I am excited to face a new professional experience and I’m ready to discover more and more what will be my field of excellence.
